The Mr & Mrs quiz (also called the Partner Quiz or “What did the groom say?”) is the game everyone remembers. Before the hens, her partner answers questions about the two of them. On the night, the bride guesses what they said, and you reveal the real answer.

How to run the quiz

  1. A week or two before, send the partner 10–15 questions. Ask them to answer on video if they can, one short clip per question.
  2. Write each answer down too, in case a video won’t play on the night.
  3. At the party, read a question, let the bride answer out loud, then play their partner’s answer.
  4. Keep score. Wrong answers earn a sip, a dare or a forfeit of your choice.
  5. Finish with a sweet question, like “When did you know she was the one?”

How many questions should a Mr & Mrs quiz have?

10 to 15 questions is the sweet spot: long enough to build up, short enough to keep everyone’s attention.

What if her partner can’t be at the hens?

That’s normal. Collect the answers beforehand, ideally as short videos, and play them on the night.

Does it work for same-sex couples?

Yes. Every question works for any couple; just swap the names.
